Franklin Williams is a life-long resident of Duplin County and has served on the Four County EMC Board of Directors since 1985. He has been president of the board since 2004. Franklin earned his Director Gold Certification through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). He is a veteran of the Army National Guard and has been a farmer in Duplin County since graduating from N.C. State with a degree in horticulture science. He is a former board member for Duplin General Hospital and still serves on the board of the Duplin Farm Bureau. Franklin and his wife Paula have a son and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys helping his son run the family farm.
