How to Apply for Interconnection at Four County EMC
If you are installing a certified, inverter-based solar or DER system less than 20 kW AC, please follow the steps below to apply for interconnection. For DER systems greater than 20 kW AC, please see the Commercial or Utility-Scale Developers section at the bottom on the page.
Step 1: Complete the Interconnection Request Form by clicking the link below.
Download and complete the latest version of the 20kW Inverter-Based Interconnection Request Form
Upload all documents to the form link: Solar Interconnection Application
Be sure to fill out all required sections. Incomplete forms will delay processing.
Step 2: Submit Your Application
Upload the completed form and required documents using the upload link provided above.
Once received, our team will review the application and notify you of the next steps.
Step 3: Watch for Status Updates
You will receive email updates as your application progresses through key stages:

Permission to Operate (PTO)
As the application progresses, you will be emailed instructions on next steps, as well as a link to upload follow up forms. Please use that emailed link to upload any follow-up documentation requested by our team.
