Four County EMC Board Directors Honored

Burgaw, N.C.– Three esteemed members of the Four County Electric Membership Corporation Board of Directors are being honored for their exceptional commitment and dedication, each marking invaluable service to the electric cooperative.

Recognized for their outstanding contributions were:

Ronald J. Allen, Director, West Bladen District                                    15 Years

Clayton Hollingsworth, Director, At Large                                            20 years

Eugene Jordan, Secretary/Treasurer, West Pender District               25 years

The commendable service awards were presented during the prestigious 2024 Statewide Annual Meeting of N.C. Electric Membership Corporation (NCEMC), N.C. Association of Electric Cooperatives (NCAEC), and the Tarheel Electric Membership Association (TEMA). This gathering, attended by representatives from across the state, celebrated the collective achievements and unwavering commitment of North Carolina's electric cooperatives.

With a combined membership exceeding one million homes, farms, and businesses, the 26 cooperatives affiliated with these associations continue to uphold their mission of providing reliable, safe, and affordable electricity to communities throughout North Carolina. Governed by the principles of member ownership and democratic control, these not-for-profit organizations are overseen by dedicated boards of directors, elected by the cooperative membership.
