Energy Star Appliance Rebate Program

With documentation and proof of purchase of a qualified ENERGY STAR appliance, Four County members are eligible for a $50 rebate.

Remember, when buying an appliance, it has 2 price tags — what you pay to take it home and what you pay for the energy and water it uses.

ENERGY STAR® qualified products and practices help you save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by:

Meeting energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Energy

Creating greater energy performance in homes and buildings

Incorporating advanced technologies that use 10 to 50% less energy and water than standard models

Energy Star Appliance Rebate Form

Please fill out this form after purchasing a new energy star appliance(s) for your primary residence to apply for a rebate with Four County EMC. Eligible appliances include dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, and freezers. We will give you a $50 bill credit for each approved appliance. For example, if you submit a washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher that are all new energy star appliances, you will receive a bill credit for $150.

Heat Pump Rebates

Heat pump rebates are available for any member that installs a 16 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) or greater heat pump. This applies to new construction or retrofits.

The rebate is $100 per ton

Proof of purchase is required in order to receive the rebate

It is not a requirement to go through the loan program to receive the heat pump rebate.

The unit must be placed in primary residence

Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate

Purchase an ENERGY STAR® Heat Pump Water Heater and receive a $300 rebate from Four County EMC.

Unit must be placed in primary residence; vacation homes and rentals do not qualify

Minimum tank size: 50 gallons

Must submit rebate form and copy of sales receipt within 90 days of purchase

Co-op reserves the right to verify installation

To help our members overcome the initial purchase and installation costs of owning a Heat Pump Water Heater we are offering a $300 rebate.

Electric Lawn Equipment Rebate

With documentation and proof of purchase at a qualifying business, Four County EMC members are eligible for a one-time $25 rebate when purchasing electric lawn equipment.

Members will receive a one-time bill credit of $25 for approved lawn equipment purchases.

Eligible purchases and submitted rebates must be made between April 2nd, 2024, and June 1st, 2024.

Eligible locations include: Lanier Hardware & Rental (Burgaw); Lanier & Smith Ace Hardware (Chinquapin); The Trading Company (Rose Hill).

Co-op reserves the right to verify equipment.

At-Home Electric Vehicle Charging Station Rebate

Four County is offering a rebate of up to $500 to purchase and install an at-home EV charging station.

EV’s are growing in popularity as the preferred no-emission mode of transportation.

EV’s have lower routine maintenance costs as there is no oil to change.

EV drivers save hundreds of dollars on gas per year. Charging your EV at home with a level 2 charger costs 1/3 (or less!) of the price of filling a gas tank.

Rebates and tax credits are available if you’re eligible (see below).
