Raymond W. Blanchard, Jr., was born and raised in Turkey and has served on the Four County EMC Board of Directors since 1968. He is a former vice-president and president of the FCEMC board and earned his Director Gold Certification through the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). Raymond served in the National Guard for eight years and was a rural mail carrier for 38 years. He still serves on the Sampson County Farm Bureau board as its secretary/treasurer. Raymond and his wife, Shelby, have been married since 1957 and have five children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They attend New Hope Baptist Church and enjoy traveling.
