Four County EMC is warning members in the Burgaw district about a recent phone scam. Several residents have reported receiving unsolicited calls from individuals falsely claiming to represent Four County EMC and demanding payment for supposed overdue electric bills.
These calls are not from Four County EMC. We do not contact members individually by phone to demand payment.
If you receive a suspicious call from someone claiming to be with Four County EMC and asking for payment, do not provide any personal or financial information. Hang up immediately and report the incident to our Member Services Team at 1-888-368-7289.
