 Valued Members, your Electric Membership Cooperative will be conducting a residential consumer survey  in December.  The purpose of this survey is to collect information needed to plan for the future.  A sample of customers will be randomly selected for the survey.  Your participation in the survey is very important to us, so please consider completing the survey if you receive a notice in the mail.  We know your time is valuable, and we appreciate your effort to participate in the survey.

FOUR COUNTY EMC ANNUAL MEETING SET FOR OCTOBER 6
Four County EMC’s Annual Membership Meeting will be held Monday, October 6, at Pender High School, 5380 NC Hwy. 53 West in Burgaw. The meeting is open to all Four County EMC members. Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. and the program will kick off at 7:00 p.m. more

DEADLINE APPROACHING FOR TEACHERS TO APPLY FOR BRIGHT IDEAS GRANTS
Time is running out for teachers to apply for grants of up to $2,000 from Four County EMC’s Bright Ideas education grant program. Educators with creative ideas for hands-on classroom projects must submit their application by September 19, 2014. Interested teachers can find the application, grant-writing tips, and more information on the Bright Ideas website at www.ncbrightideas.com. more

For the first time in the Cooperatives history, every Four County EMC Board member has achieved both a Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) and a (BLC) Board Leadership Certificate from National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). more

FOUR COUNTY EMC DONATES FANS TO HELP ELDERLY CITIZENS
Four County Electric Membership Corporation has donated 110 fans to facilities that serve elderly citizens. In turn, the agencies give the fans to the elderly who do not have access to fans or air conditioned living. more

Bright Ideas - We’re Accepting Applications April 1 – September 19
We are excited to kick off our 20th year of Bright Ideas Grants! Four County EMC is now accepting applications from educators seeking grant funding for innovative classroom projects for the 2014-15 school year. Teachers in K-12 classrooms with creative ideas for hands-on learning projects are encouraged to apply for a grant up to $2,000.00. more

Thieves posing as electric utility representatives continue to prey on unsuspecting consumers across the country, including members of Four County EMC. The cooperative urges its members to be aware of this scam and never provide anyone who calls you with personal or account information. more

Four County EMC has named Gregg Cohn Vice President of Engineering effective March 12, 2014. Gregg is no stranger to Four County EMC, he worked with the cooperative a number of years ago as an engineer and was Acting Manager of Engineering during a portion of that time. more

Four County EMC Kicks Off Bright Ideas Grant Program
Four County EMC and North Carolina’s electric cooperatives have pledged nearly $600,000 to the state’s teachers in Bright Ideas education grant funding for the 2013-14 school year and are accepting grant applications beginning April 1. Grants of up to $2,000 will be awarded directly to educators for creative, hands-on classroom projects that would not otherwise be funded.
